North Knoxville (WVLT) - A fire in North Knoxville has left a house in ruins.
The fire started at the home on Schubert Road just off Clinton Highway at about 2:00am this morning.
The Knoxville Fire Department arrived to see flames shooting from the roof and the front of the house.
Officials say no one was inside and it appears the house was for sale.
Captain Darrell Whitaker with the Knoxville Fire Department says that the fire wasn't an easy task for firefighters.
"We had crews that had to scurry around to the back because the fire was so intense that it was actually trying to get back into the woods," said Whitaker.
No one was hurt.
As of now, investigators are not labeling the fire as suspicious.
