Tennessee Trooper on Administrative Leave

Knoxville (WVLT) - A Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper that works out of Knoxville has been placed on administrative leave.

The Tennessee Department of Safety confirms Trooper Marty Nix was placed on administrative leave pending investigation on June 29th.

But, that spokesperson declined further comment citing the ongoing investigation.

Trooper Nix's attorney, James Bell told Volunteer TV News, "Mr. Nix is on administrative leave for what we consider something less than a sensational investigation."

Bell says his office is investigating and the state is investigating.

Bell says he does not anticipate any disciplinary action against Trooper Nix.

Volunteer TV News is continuing to follow up on this story. We will have updates as information becomes available.

If he did something at the medical office wrong that is one thing, but the complaints filed at the clerks office is bogus. Check that clerks phone and e-mail. She fixs alot of tickets for several. Not her first rodeo. Complaint just covering her being caught. Ticket fixing at clerks office alot.
