Where there are more pauses in the rain, totals will be closer to 2 inches but some will receive at least 4 inches of rainfall total. Creeks and streams run high and areas with poor runoff could face flooding problems. Busy commute hours could face more slowdowns, with fog and standing water on roads as well.
Knoxville (AP) -- Two Oak Ridge businessmen must repay Oak Ridge National Laboratory thousands of dollars after being convicted of charging it for fictitious contractor services.
Reginald Hall, former president and CEO of Advanced Integrated Management Services was sentenced yesterday to 21 months in prison and ordered to pay more than $57,000 in restitution and $5,000 in fines.
Hall was convicted on theft and conspiracy to commit money laundering charges for billing the Department of Energy for fictitious work and reimbursements while his company was under contract.
Hall's associate, David Reeder, was sentenced to five months in prison and ordered to pay $10,000 in restitution and a $2,000 fine on a money laundering charge.
The two were convicted in February, but both maintained their innocence yesterday.
