Knoxville (WVLT) -- Two lanes are traffic on east bound I-40 are now reopen following a tractor trailer wreck.

The accident happened around 8:30 AM, east of the West Hills exit.

All east bound lanes were closed for a short period of time, backing up traffic for more than a mile.

Police officials say a tractor trailer ran off the road, overturned, and caught fire.

The wreckage ended up down an embankment and came to a rest on Papermill Drive.

One adult and two juveniles were in the truck during the crash.

They were transported to the hospital with what is believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

Papermill Drive will be closed for most of today between Kingston Pike and Westfield Road while crews clean up the scene.

We will have more this evening on Volunteer TV News at 6:30.
