Knoxville (WVLT) -- Two lanes are traffic on east bound I-40 are now reopen following a tractor trailer wreck.
The accident happened around 8:30 AM, east of the West Hills exit.
All east bound lanes were closed for a short period of time, backing up traffic for more than a mile.
Police officials say a tractor trailer ran off the road, overturned, and caught fire.
The wreckage ended up down an embankment and came to a rest on Papermill Drive.
One adult and two juveniles were in the truck during the crash.
They were transported to the hospital with what is believed to be non-life threatening injuries.
Papermill Drive will be closed for most of today between Kingston Pike and Westfield Road while crews clean up the scene.
