Crimetracker: DA to seek death penalty for accused Bean Station killer

BEAN STATION, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The man accused of killing two people, and injuring two more, inside a Bean Station Pharmacy waived his pretrial hearing. Jason Holt was also denied bail again due to "aggravating circumstances." He is set to appear before the Grand Jury on September 17, 2013.

Prosecutors indicated they will seek the death penalty against Holt, if he is convicted.

Holt is charged with killing Stephen Lovell and Richard Sommerville last week at the Down Home Pharmacy in Bean Station. He also allegedly shot two other women, who are recovering.

Prosecutors argued he shot the victims because he knew them.

We spoke with one of Holt's family members who said she's shocked he did something this violent.

"Jason was a good person he would do anything for anybody - he just snapped or something," said Rita Lane.

Holt's next court date is scheduled for June 20, 2013.
