Accused arsonists busted

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)- Five people are facing charges, accused of setting a series of fires in the North Knoxville and Knox County area over the past few weeks.

A multi-agency effort between Knoxville Fire, Knoxville Police and the Sheriff's Office have been investigating the fires since October.

Three more fires were discovered this morning. That lead investigators to four of the five suspects, who were caught on Strolling Road. A fifth person was arrested at an apartment nearby.

Here's a list of four those arrested:
Devon Marie Daugherty D.O.B. 11/07/93,
Shelby McMillan D.O.B. 9/04/93,
Mathew Dilbeck D.O.B. 12/31/91,
Derek Allen Belyea D.O.B. 11/16/93.

A fifth suspect in custody is underage.
Their name won't be released.

Each face multiple charges ranging from arson to drug related crimes.

All of the fires were set within a five mile radius of Strolling Road.
Things that were set on fire include scarecrows and piles of brush.
But investigators say which each fire, the arsonists were getting "bolder."
