Arson suspected in vacant house fire

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Arson is suspected after a vacant house caught fire at the corner of Chery Street and Jefferson Avenue just before 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Crews quickly doused the flames. Damage was contained to the upper loft. No injuries were reported.

According to the Knoxville Fire Department, the house had no power and firefighters believe the fire was started by someone illegally occupying the home.
