SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The National Bible Bee has wrapped up in Sevierville at the Wilderness of the Smokies Resort.
More than 1200 people attended the National Bible Bee competition from Wednesday, November 14th through Saturday, November 17th.
"I like to go through each verse of it, and just say it over and over again until I have it, and keep adding more and more verses until I get the whole passage," said Evalyn Homolelle, a Semi Finalist in the competition.
The competition features 300 of the higest-scoring Bible Bee contestants from across the country. Top winners were awarded more than $260,000.
The contest encourages competitors to memorize biblical passages. This is the 4th year for the competition.
