WALLAND, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Officials in Blount Co. began investigating a possible meth lab on Payne Hollow Rd. Sunday morning.
Workers in HAZMAT suits were on scene, and a neighbor told us one of the residents in the house has been in jail for meth before.
Neighbors in the Rocky Branch Community say police at the home is nothing new, in fact it happens all the time.
"It's not uncommon to see cops around here," said Tiffany Gutridge. "It's been pretty constant."
Her and her neighbors were watching as police went through the home bring out items. They say they hope what has been happening comes to a close so their kids can play outside safely.
"We don't let them run the roads at all. Especially when certain people are out of jail," added Gutridge.
"We see it all and hear it all," said Tommy Reagan, who lives directly next door as he held his daughter. "She's two going on three and she's young so we don't let her outside unless we're out there. There's a lot of kids in the neighborhood and you want to sorta keep an eye out."
Neighbors say there's a history of drug problems by the person who lives at the residents, and are currious to see what exactly crews found there.
