British royal charity finds US home in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) -- A British royal charity that raises money for working animals in developing countries such as Egypt, India and Pakistan has made Lexington its U.S. home.

The Brooke is headed by Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, the wife of Prince Charles.

The Lexington Herald-Leader (http://bit.ly/W0UxW9 ) reported Monday that American Friends of the Brooke had chosen the central Kentucky city as its headquarters.
