Kids, parents brave the rainy weather for Children's Festival of Reading

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)-- Hundreds of people celebrated a summer of reading at the 9th Annual Children's Festival of Reading.

The festival took place Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event was free and open to the public.

The festival featured authors, story tellers and other entertainers. The event encourages kids to read all summer long.
