SAVANNAH, Tenn. (WVLT)--Police in Savannah, TN arrested a husband and wife and charged them with killing his mother.
32-year-old Christopher Knight and his wife, 18-year-old Tonya Knight, are being held in Hardin County Jail on a first-degree murder charge in the death of 71-year-old Peggy Alexander.
The TBI says Knight told police he found his mother dead in their home on Sunday. Investigators determined that the son killed his mother earlier that morning.
They say Alexander's relationship with the couple was strained and she expressed a desire to move and change her will in regards to her son.
No word on the couple's bond.
