UPDATE: Victim in I-640 wreck identified

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)-- Knoxville Police have identified the victim of a deadly crash on Interstate 640 early Saturday morning.

It happened near a ramp on Broadway Avenue just after 3:30 a.m.

According to KPD, Timothy Porcella died after he lost control of his car and crashed into a semi tractor-trailer, which caused the semi to overturn.

Police said Porcella was ejected from the car. He was not wearing a seatbelt.

The semi driver, Shawn Bardell of Columbia, Alabama, suffered minor injuries and was taken to University of Tennessee Medical Center.

The semi passenger, Jacob Padgett of Valdosta, Georgia, was not injured.

Authorities believe alcohol may have been a factor.
