KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)-- Police released the name of the teen who was shot and taken to the hospital after a shooting near downtown Knoxville Saturday afternoon.
According to Knoxville Police, 17-year-old Jeremy Edwards was found with multiple gun shot wounds to his legs at Arbor Place apartments on Hall of Fame Drive just before 3:00 p.m. Saturday.
Police are now looking for the shooter. He's also a teen, was dressed in all black, stands about 5 '9 and weighs 160 pounds.
During the investigation, police say a 16 year-old male friend of Edwards was extremely agitated that his friend had been shot. During his display of anger a small semi-automatic handgun fell out of his pocket.
The 16 year-old was taken into custody and charged with possession of a weapon with intent to go armed.
