KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Officers on the lookout for an SUV linked to an armed robbery end up arresting a Knoxville man on drug-related charges near a local school on Thursday.
Police had been on the lookout for a black, imported SUV when the arresting officer spotted the Mitsubishi parked in the 3000 block of Linden Ave., near Austin East High School and ABC Kiddie Academy.
According to the police report, after a K9 alerted on the vehicle, officers found a small bag of crack inside a cigarette box. They also reportedly found a marijuana grinder on the floor of the back seat.
The man who was in the passenger seat, Teshon Brinson, allegedly admitted both the drugs and the paraphernalia belonged to him and was placed under arrest.
Authorities did not say whether or not they were able to connect him to the robbery, or if the driver will be charged.
