SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A man is on the run from Sevierville Police Officers after an armed robbery Friday morning at a Subway off East Dumplin Valley Rd. in Sevierville.

According to a release by the Sevierville Police Department, an employee of the restaurant called police at around 10:15 a.m.

The employee told officers a man pulled a handgun when the cash register was opened to complete his sale and ordered the employee to the ground.

Police say the man then took an unknown amount of money and left in a blue Dodge Neon without injuring the employee.
