KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A late night stabbing in north Knoxville sent one man to the hospital on Thursday. The victim, Joshua Barneby, told police he stopped in a parking lot in the 4800 block of Broadway after the suspect threw a rock at his car.

The pair ended up in a fight - with the victim receiving two small stab wounds in his back. Authorities noted they have apparently been involved in an ongoing argument

Barneby drove himself to Physicians Regional Hospital where has been treated and released.

Police said Barneby has been "less than cooperative" and they weren't certain if they would prosecute.
