KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A 19 year-old pregnant woman died following a Wednesday morning shooting in East Knoxville, according to the Knoxville Police Dept. Marcia Crider passed away later that afternoon at UT Medical Center. She was 13 weeks pregnant.
Crider was in a vehicle with her mother on Porter Ave. shortly before 11:00 a.m. when the suspected shooter approached their car and confronted them before shooting Crider. After the shooting, her mother took her to Amvets Thrift Store on Holston Drive and called 911.
Authorities have not provided any information about the suspected shooter, though they did note they believe the shooting was domestic-related.
