KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A late night stabbing sent one man to the hospital and landed his girlfriend in jail on Monday. According to the Knoxville Police Dept., a neighbor called them after the victim showed up at her home, 2450 Brown Ave., around 11:15 p.m.
The victim, Tommy Nalory, told officers his girlfriend stabbed him in the chest during a fight. The 52 year-old was taken to UT Medical Center with what were described as non-life threatening injuries.
When officers arrived at the Nalory's home on Brown Ave., his girlfriend, Kimberly Brown, denied stabbing him and claimed she had been asleep. Investigators, though, noted signs of a struggle and found the knife, which they claim was used in the stabbing. They arrested the 53 year-old woman and charged her with assault.
Neither the victim nor his girlfriend have been identified.
