KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A Knoxville woman was arrested on multiple charges early Tuesday morning after heading the wrong way down I-640 West and colliding with a tractor-trailer, according to the Knoxville Police Dept.
Lauren Elizabeth Steele, 22, was charged with DUI, Reckless Endangerment, One Way Road Violation, and Implied Consent, authorities added. She is being held on $2,000 bond.
Police said Steele was heading east on westbound I-640 shortly after 3:30 a.m. Tuesday morning when her 1996 Toyota Camry struck the semi near the on ramp for Broadway.
Neither Steele nor the driver of the semi were injured.
