Local 8 News has teamed up with the American Red Cross and Toyota Knoxville to help tornado victims in East Tennessee.

Help us pack as many Toyota trucks as we can, full of relief supplies for Claiborne and Campbell County relief efforts. At least ten families lost their homes when an EF-3 tornado ripped through the Speedwell community on the Claiborne/Campbell county line.

Local 8 News is collecting donations at Toyota Knoxville at 10415 Parkside Drive. Please drop off donations during business hours, between 8:30 a.m. Monday through 1 p.m. Friday.

Toyota Knoxville is the only location accepting donations.

If you prefer to make a monetary donation, make your check out to the American Red Cross and drop it off at Toyota Knoxville. You can also text "redcross" to 90999 (the donation will appear on your mobile phone bill) or click the links included to donate online.

ITEMS NEEDED (these must be new or unused):

Cleaning supplies
Trash bags, mops, buckets, brooms, dust pans, all-purpose cleaner like Pinesol/Lysol, sponges, paper towels, scrubbers, gloves, dish soap, dish detergent, bleach, hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, rubber gloves, Killz, plastic totes with lids

School supplies
Pens, pencils, backpacks, notebooks, folders, binders, index cards, ruler, colored pencils, glue sticks, markers, crayons, highlighters, scissors, erasers

Non-perishable food items
Non-perishable food, manual can openers, plastic food containers, ziplock baggies, dry or canned pet food, cases of bottled water

Personal care items
Toothbrush/toothpaste, comb/brush, deodorant, shampoo, soap
