MADISONVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)-- Relatives of Zach Wilson said he was at his mom's house Saturday afternoon. He went out, but never returned home.
"His mom knew something wasn't right when they found a body," his brother-in-law Dakota Kelley said. "She said she had a gut feeling. She knew something was wrong."
According to authorities, the 19-year-old was found dead around 1 p.m. Sunday at Kefauver Park in Madisonville. His body was found in the water.
Kelley told Local 8 News Zach grew up going to that park and spent a lot of time there.
His family can't imagine ever visiting the park again after this incident.
"We've always threw birthday parties and family events there. There's not way we can all go back down there and be a family without Zach," Kelley said.
Relatives don't know who the last person to see him was. They're left with more questions than answers but hope investigators rule out the worst case scenario.
"We really hope and pray he wasn't murdered. We hope it someone was to take his life it'd be his own doing," Kelley said.
According to TBI, there were no obvious signs of trauma to his body. Investigators are waiting on an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
Relatives said Zach will remembered as someone who always made them smile.
