Fast food server robbed at gunpoint

Detectives with the Knox County Sheriff’s Office are investigating an incident that happened Wednesday afternoon at the Sonic at 10704 Kingston Pike.

According to the incident report, around 6:15pm, a man and a female companion pulled into the drive-in and ordered drinks and advised via the call box that they would need change for a $100 bill. The server said that when she took the order to the car, the male suspect had a gun and demanded all of her money. After she handed over $85 they fled in a silver Pontiac.

Anyone with information is asked to call the KCSO at 215-2243.
