KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)- A woman is looking for a new place to live, after a large fire heavily damaged her home and killed her dog.
The fire broke out a little before 7 p.m. on Sunday, at a home on Cecil Avenue, in North Knoxville
Knoxville Fire Department's Captain D. J. Corcoran tells us that the flames spread from the living room into the attic. The fire could be seen from miles away. Enough damage was done that the homeowner will not be able to move back in.
The homeowner was in church at the time. The Red Cross is helping her out.
No word yet on what started the fire.
