Firefighters put out flames at Knoxville home Friday morning

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Firefighters were able to prevent a fire from spreading throughout a Knoxville home early Friday morning.

Firefighters were called to the house on W. Ford Valley Road a little before 8:00 a.m. They were able to get the fire out and contain the damage to a small laundry room, according to KFD spokesperson D.J. Corcoran.

Nobody was home at the time of the fire, he added.
