Funeral arrangements for Lenoir City officer announced

Jonathan Sartin was a 26-year veteran detective with Lenoir City Police Department,

LENOIR CITY (WVLT) -- The family of Lenoir City Police Officer Jonathan Sartin announced plans for his funeral Tuesday.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the First Baptist Curch in Lenoir City, with the funeral to follow. Interment will be 11 a.m. Friday at Loudon Co. Memorial Gardens.

Sartin died Monday morning from medical complications.

He served in many capacities with the Lenoir City Police during his 26-year tenure, ending as a detective. He began in 1988 as a patrol and K-9 officer.

In his spare time, he volunteered for various youth sports programs.
