KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- According to AAA, average gas prices have gone up in all cities except Knoxville over the past week.

The national average has increased by more than 7 cents over the last week and now sits at $3.65. According to AAA, the Southeast has seen little to no change in price.

Minnesota has the highest price in the country right now at $4.28. In Knoxville the average price is $3.20, last week the price was $3.22.

AAA recommends for the best efficiency drivers should make sure their cars are in good shape, reduce excess weight in the car, use the most fuel efficient vehicle possible, and combine trips to reduce gasoline use.
