GATLINBURG, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Ole Smoky Moonshine in Gatlinburg has been named a rising star in the industry, based on recent sales results.
The Beverage Information Group published the results and says the group sold close to 100,000 cases of the six flavors of moonshine in 2012. That was an increase of over 200% from 2011. The announcement will be published in the April online and print editions of Cheers, Beverage Dynamics and StateWays magazines.
“Connecting with our heritage and offering a quality product that is different from anything people have tried before is what Ole Smoky Moonshine stands for,” said company co-founder Joe Baker. “We like to see people come together to support our brand, and we’re thrilled to be named one of the industry’s 2013 Rising Stars. We’re eager to build on this momentum and continue moving forward in 2014 and beyond.”
Ole Smoky was founded in 2010 and was the first legalized moonshine distillery in the state.
