CATOOSA CO., Georgia (WVLT) -- The Catoosa County Sheriff's office received a report on September 6th, that a woman was on her way to Tennessee but never made it to her destination.

Marvin Clayton told deputies that his wife, Carolyn Clayton, left their home in Ringgold, Georgia around 9:00 a.m. and was possibly on her way to her father's house in Loudon and never arrived.

Investigators say there has been no activity on her cell phone nor credit cards.

She was last seen wearing a purple blouse and blue jeans and driving a 1998 silver Mercedes Benz E320 with a Georgia license plate “PAULIII”.

Carolyn Clayton is five foot eight and 170 pounds, and has blonde hair with blue eyes.

Six days a week, Carroll Tuck's store, Carroll's Bargain Box in Loudon is open for business. But the owner says it's hard to be here, knowing his daughter, Carolyn, is still missing.

"It's unbearable, but I've been praying and trusting the Lord that she'll be okay. And that's all you can do," said Tuck.

"We just want to drop and do everything to find my sister, We've thought about combing the highways, roadways, but we've been doing everything we know to do with authorities," said Sonya Williams, Clayton's only sister.

She says Clayton lives for her kids, who she home-schooled until this year.

"We haven't been able to get in touch with her on her phone, her phone's off, it appears to be off," said Williams.

Right now, Clayton's husband is trying to make things as normal as possible for their kids while they search for Carolyn.

"I just want to say to Carolyn that if she's out there, I love her, and I know she loves me. If she hears me, hang in there and we'll find her," said Tuck.

Tuck will keep the store open, hoping and praying the next time the phone rings, good news is on the other line.
