GREENBACK, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A Loudon County teacher is on paid administrative leave after being accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a student.

According to the Loudon County Sheriff's Office, the case is focused on the relationship between a female teacher and a male student at Greenback School.

Deputies said when they first got word of the case, they talked to the student, who told them everything took place in Blount County.

The Blount County Sheriff's Office is now handling the investigation. Deputies are still interviewing people and collecting evidence. They're not releasing the teacher's name right now because so far, no one has been arrested.

Many people with kids in the school are upset, including Evelyn Bailey, who said she knows the teacher under investigation.

"I do know her, she went to school with my daughter. I do know her personally. She's been at my house before. When my daughter was a teenager, she slept at my house before and I would have never thought," said Bailey.

Last month, police arrested another teacher at Greenback School. Angela Mosingo is accused of sending inappropriate Facebook messages to a student at another high school. She's scheduled to appear in court next week.

In 2009, authorities investigated Amy Kennedy for allegedly sending inappropriate text messages to students.
