Heading out of town? Here are a few things you need to know

Knoxville, Tenn. (WVLT) - Nationwide, 43.6 million Americans are projected to travel for the Thanksgiving Holiday, a 0.7 percent increase from last year.

AAA projects 43.6 million Americans will take a trip of 50 miles or more away from home between Wednesday, Nov. 21 and Sunday, Nov. 25.

Please, make sure you're well rested, drive cautious and keep away from distracted items.

Law Enforcement will be out looking for folks speeding, under the influence among others.

This year, 90% of people are driving to their destinations instead of flying.
