KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Drivers headed to North Carolina along I-40 Thursday may be in for a bit of a headache.
According to TDOT, an overturned semi three miles into the Tarheel State has backed up traffic all the way into Tennessee.
Right now, TDOT is redirecting drivers onto I-81 North so they can avoid the backup.
The agency said it hopes to have the wreck cleared up early Thursday afternoon.
