Jefferson County car wreck sends three to the hospital

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) A car wreck on Highway 11-E in Jefferson County sent three people to the hospital Sunday morning.

Sergeant Bill Miller with the Tennessee Highway Patrol said the chain-reaction crash happened around 9:15a.m.

According to Sergeant Miller, 71 year-old Buford Warner was slowing down as he approached a previous wreck on Highway 11-E. The driver behind him, 21 year-old Brittany Williams didn't notice that Buford had begun to slow down and rear-ended him.

Buford, Williams, and a passenger in Buford's car were all taken to the hospital to be checked out.
