Those in need look to KARM for Thanksgiving dinner

Knoxville, Tenn. (WVLT) - The meals are served to hundreds of guests from 11 am to 1 pm. Most of these guests are homeless, hungry and lonely. That is why volunteers come to KARM to lend a helping hand.

The Thanksgiving Celebration is a popular effort for volunteers each Thanksgiving. Offers pour in from hundreds who request to participate in set up, cooking, preparation, serving, hosting, parking and clean up duties.

Those in need are thankful for the folks who help out. They said if they wasn't for the volunteers and KARM they would go hungry.

"I'm thankful for being alive and being able to have a roof over my head and a place for me and my wife to get a hot meal," said John Morland.
