KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Knox Co. Sheriff's Office released its numbers from the extended holiday patrols last weekend. Authorities said there were no deaths over the five-day weekend, which started at 6:00 p.m. on Friday and ended Wednesday morning at 6:00 a.m.
Fifteen people were arrested for DUI, while one of the 52 wrecks to which it responded involved alcohol. Injuries were reported in nine of those wrecks.
Sixty-seven people were arrested on various other charges and officers were called out to help out 182 other motorists.
