KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The two toddlers briefly missing following a shooting in north Knoxville have been found, according to the Knoxville Police Dept. The children were missing for less than hour.
Police said the situation was based on a miscommunication. The kids' mother had left the children with a neighbor who then passed them off to another person. When the mom didn't find her kids at the neighbor's house she called the cops.
The kids' mother was also involved in the shooting, which police described as a domestic incident. They still aren't clear on who the shooter was. Witnesses said they heard three shots.
Officers blocked off a stretch of Jourolman while they investigate.
