KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Knoxville Utilities Board is warning customers that a scammer is at work targeting local businesses.
The person calls businesses claiming to be a KUB representative and tells them they owe money on their accounts. The caller then asks customers to purchase MoneyPaks, threatening to cut off power if they don't make immediate payments.
KUB says if you or your business gets a call like this, contact KUB at 524-2911.
