HUNTSVILLE,Tenn. (WVLT) -- An Scott Co. inmate's bride-to-be found herself behind bars after authorities found drugs stashed in her dentures on her wedding day.
According to the Scott Co. Sheriff's Office, Brita Lee West was set to marry one of its inmates, Willard Tinch. Prior to the ceremony, West had asked if she would be allowed to kiss her soon-to-be husband.
While she was talking, a Sergeant noticed her dentures kept falling out and asked someone to check it out. That's when authorities found a package containing methamphetamine and 2 suboxone strips.
They also discovered a folded dollar bill containing an undetermined powder in her purse and a couple syringes in her car.
She was charged with Possession of Schedule II More than 0.5 Grams, Possession of Schedule III, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Introduction of Drugs into County Institution.
