Weather Alert: Strong to severe storms are expected tonight

Hunt on for man they believe shot into Knox Co. apartment

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Knox County Sheriff's Office is looking for man believed to be involved in a shooting on Monday.

Authorities are looking for 36-year old Ronnie Harshaw.

He's wanted in connection with a shooting that happened around 4:30 a.m. Monday in the Bakertown Apartments.

Witnesses say Harshaw and two other men fire rounds into an apartment. Bullet fragments hit 19-year-old Kayla Thompson. She was taken to UT Medical Center and is expected to recover.

Harshaw is described as black, 5’11”, 185-195 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He has many tattoos, with most being gang affiliated.

He is considered armed and dangerous and anyone who knows his whereabouts is asked to call the Knox County Sheriff’s Office at 215-2243.
