Knox Co. Public Library celebrates milestone anniversary

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Knox Co. Public Library celebrates its 125th anniversary. The Lawson McGhee Library is the oldest operating library in Tennessee.

There will festivites held in honor of the library's anniversary. These events will include: lectures, film screenings, birthday party story hours, and tours of the orignal space.

The celebration will begin October 30 at 2:00 p.m. at the East Tennessee History Center. The fun will continue On November 4 with a reception on showing of a vintage film at 7:00 p.m.
