KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) --- It's that moment when you realize you'll be spending Christmas Eve at the mall.
Whatever the reason, procrastination, tradition, maybe you're looking for a last minute deal, you won't be alone.
Thousands of shoppers are hitting West Town Mall to make sure the tree isn't bare.
We heard ever excuse imaginable and some you couldn't imagine.
You can't make this stuff up.
"I've done this for years," Peggy Gabbard told us, "I've got plenty of time left. Born to do it."
Jason Dunkle looked at us and sighed before saying "I'm a husband."
But when it came to the question "why are you at the mall on Christmas Eve?" the best answer had to come from one woman who wanted to remain nameless.
She drove from Kentucky for this; "We're trying to find my sister a Husband."
