Local school needs your used clothes

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)-- The Annoor Academy in Knoxville has teamed up with Goodthift to fill a cargo container of used items to raise money for the school.

If the school can fill a 40x9 foot cargo container with used items then they will get a $3,000 check to buy books for their library and improve their playground.

They have to fill the container by the end of February and they are in desperate need of help!

"The container is only a fourth filled and we only have a few weeks left. We really want to raise this money so our students will have more books to read and a better place for recess." said Amira Hamed a teacher at Annoor Academy of Knoxville.

They are asking anyone in the community to fill a garbage bag of used clothes, toys, towels, accessories, and/or blankets and drop them off in the container.
