LENOIR CITY, Tenn (WVLT) -- You may have seen a UHAUL truck outside of Walmart Thursday night.

Inside, a collection 19 year old Nathan Wells is spearheading with his superstar friend, Kirstie Alley (you may know her as the bar manager from the hit TV show CHEERS.)

He answered a tweet from Alley last Friday asking for trucks and supplies for people affected by Superstorm Sandy in Staten Island, NY.

Just last week Wells helped arrange for 1500 blankets to be sent up north.

Now he's headed up there with a truck filled with baby food & diapers, hygiene items, shampoo, blankets and warm clothing among other supplies badly needed.

He says some of the supplies were donated from Parkwest Hospital and local churches.

Wells is an author of the novel "Am I the Enemy?" You can find it now on iTunes, Barnes and Noble, and Amazon.
