KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A Loudon firefighter has resigned after being arrested for sexually assaulting an 80-year-old woman.

According to police documents, Ricky Lynn Sutton visited the woman at her home on August 29. The woman said she recognized him because he had been there before acting in his official capacity as a fireman, so she let him inside.

That's when she says Sutton grabbed her by both hands and told her she was attractive. Then he pulled her to him and kissed her on the mouth. She says she tried to push him away and told him to stop but he kissed her on the mouth a second time.

Sutton was placed on suspension; he resigned August 30.
