KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A 27 year-old Knoxville man was killed late Tuesday afternoon after the motorcycle he was riding collided with the side of a pickup in west Knox County, according to the Knox Co. Sheriff's Office.
According to preliminary reports Brian Burns was heading east on Lovell Road around 5:30 p.m. when his Kawasaki hit the Dodge Ram, which was turning onto Bob Gray Road. Burns was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the truck, 66 year-old Michael Brown was not injured in the wreck.
Investigators are still trying to determine if any other factors may have caused the collision. The Sheriff's Office did note Burns was wearing a helmet.
