CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP/WVLT) -- Police say a Tennessee man who had been reported missing was found three days later in a Georgia jail, where he'd been all along.
The Times Free Press says Kelly Eugene Dobbs was reported missing Tuesday night from his home in Chattanooga. It was discovered Friday he was in the Cobb County, Ga., jail about 100 miles away.
His sister, Ruth Epsy, told the newspaper Dobbs went out for a walk and didn't return. She said Dobbs is diabetic and needs medication. She added he carries a piece of paper in his wallet listing phone numbers of family members.
The arrest warrant says Dobbs was being held on forgery charges after he tried to cash a fake check in Marietta, Ga., more than an hour away, for more than $900.
