KNOXVILLE, Tenn.(WVLT)--The man who was killed trying to rob the Dollar General earlier this week has been identified and connected to five other robberies.
KPD says 20-year-old Justin Pierre Jackson had been wanted for questioning in multiple armed robberies in the area over the past few weeks:
1-26-13: Indi Sai #6, Whittle Springs Road
2-5-13: Dollar General Store, Rutledge Pike
2-7-13: Kenjo Market, Sevierville Pike
2-12-13: Breadbox, Whittle Springs Road
2-16-13: CVS, Asheville Highway
Officers say Jackson was getting more aggressive with each robbery, even holding a gun to the head of one woman employee, telling her he would kill her if she didn't hand over the cash. He also would wear a sock on one hand while committing the robberies.
Police recovered the sock used in Wednesday night’s Dollar General Store robbery near Jackson's body. Jackson has a criminal history that includes arrests for Theft, Drug Charges, and multiple Aggravated Assaults.
