Knoxville, Tenn. (WVLT) - Each year, 15 million babies are born prematurely world wide. More than one million of them will die.
In the U.S. one in eight babies is born too soon. Doctors at the facility told us it is important to seek prenatal care throughout the entire pregnancy.
Morgan Williams, an RN at UT Medical Center said,"It is so important because there is such a huge difference in age you can't cure prematurity but you can do things to help get them to a term age."
Something Brandon Chamber a father of a premature baby agrees with and sends this message.
"Ask the doctors and nurses questions let them make you feel more comfortable from that you will start to gain a little sanity," said Chambers.
