MARYVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A Blount County woman never missed a day of work or showed up late without telling someone first.
That's why when Jennifer Rust, 39, didn't show up to work Sunday morning, coworkers say they knew something was wrong.
When authorities went to check on Rust and her husband Matthew, 37, at their Sam Houston School Rd, they were found dead.
According to authorities, an autopsy revealed the couple died in a murder suicide Saturday.
"The world has lost one of the happiest people that I know," said Kevin Ogle who worked with Jennifer at Pet Safe Village. "She was very well respected by her peers. Very well loved."
Ogle said the animal lover touched the lives of many people.
"Where do we go from here? I don't know. We will never be able to replace her. We might replace the position but not her," Ogle said.
A Facebook event was created Tuesday to celebrate Jennifer's life. There will be a candlelight vigil at Krutch Park at 8 PM Saturday.
