KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A tip leads authorities to an East Knoxville hotel where they found ingredients used to make methamphetamine inside two hotel rooms, according to the Knoxville Police Dept.
After receiving the heads up, officers did what they called a knock and talk through the hotel. After discovering the ingredients shortly after 8:00 a.m. Thursday morning, they evacuated adjacent rooms and called in the KPD Meth Task Force, explained Lt. Bradley Anders.
Authorities questioned the several people who were inside the hotel rooms. The lab was determined to be inactive and the rooms have been released to motel.
Police are continuing to investigate and have not pressed charges.
